The installation interprets the Book of Genesis' Chapter 28 in which one of biblical patriarchs Jacob has a dream about a ladder from earth up to the skies with 12 angels on each step of it.
In my version, 12 porcelain envelopes are located on an Ikea storage shelf and each of them has a heart beating sound, synchronised within all the envelopes. The ladder is made out of Ikea storage shelves inviting viewers to ask themselves if this ancient biblical story could be renewed in contemporary times.
