ruins.
total installation
April 16 – May 10, 2025
CCI Fabrika, Arthause hall
Moscow

"ruins." is a total installation that transforms broken porcelain into a compelling visual and auditory experience. Speakers concealed beneath the fragmented remnants emit the sounds of porcelain shattering.

This project reflects on the ongoing global crises, highlighting the troubling devaluation of human life and the deteriorating relations between people. It serves as a reminder that amid chaos and destruction, recognizing and valuing of what we have remains essential.

The exhibition is complemented by a "censored" curatorial text, beginning with words that, in the author's view, might resonate deeply with many: "I once had my heart broken,...".

85 seconds to midnight
readymade

On January 27, 2026, the Doomsday Clock stopped 85 seconds before global catastrophe. This is the closest it has come to the expected start of a nuclear war in 79 years.

The metaphor project was launched in 1947 by the creators of the first American atomic bomb in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a University of Chicago journal, two years after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A broken porcelain saucer with a crack caused by firing became a metaphor for the Doomsday Clock, where the crack symbolizes the hour hand.
